It’s two weeks until Christmas. Which, might seem like a long time (if you’re my children), but to me, someone who’s been frantically baking since mid-November, we’ve entered the Holiday Home Stretch. And I can see that sweet, sweet finish line.
What a holiday season it has been. I opened my business little more than a month ago and hit the ground running. So far, I’ve had two successful pop-ups (with two more still to come!) and a number of large special orders.

I had such a great time at my most recent pop-up at The Shop by Porter. They were such lovely hosts. Everyone working there was so kind. As usual, my mom helped me with her gorgeous display stylings. Everyone who came to the event meant so much to me. Seriously, the best thing about doing pop-ups is getting to spend time with cherished friends and making new friends with all the wonderful people I meet.

Another fun thing I did this month was providing purple ube cookies (with white chocolate chips) and my famous Cross Country Crispies for the Garfield High School Cross Country End of Season Banquet. The GHS Cross Country team holds a special place in my heart. I love working on special orders like this because the clients and I get to have fun going off-script a little with the custom menus. Remember, special orders are always available! Just email me at tremontesseattle@gmail.com with your request and we’ll make it happen!

I’ve been so busy lately, I hired a bakery assistant. Sadie is a junior at Garfield high school. She participates in running start, is a cross country and track athlete, she is an organizer and conversation facilitator for world learning, and she cooks for her family at home. She is a hard and focused worker and she has an excellent attitude! I am so lucky to have her help in the kitchen!
Fun story: I was telling Sadie about how my KitchenAid stand mixer was a college graduation gift from my Grandma Mary in 2006 and she said, “that mixer and I are the same age!” 🙃😳😱

I’ve still got special orders and TWO pop-ups on the books before Christmas as I race towards that finish line!
POP-UP INFO:
Saturday, December 16th, 11am-2pm, I’ll be returning to Broadcast Coffee Yesler Café. Last time I popped up there, I sold out pretty quickly, so this time I’ll be bringing MORE COOKIES (including a couple surprises 🎉) and I’m starting an hour earlier, at 11am. My recommendations: lock in a pre-order, arrive early, grab yourself the best cup of coffee in town.
I loved seeing so many friends and meeting community members at Broadcast last month. Can’t wait to do it all again!
I also have a very fun pop-up collaboration planned with Little Thing Wine on Thursday evening, December 21st, 4-7pm. This event includes an Italian bubbly tasting! I can’t think of anything more in the spirit of the season than Christmas cookies and bubbles. Can you??
I will be accepting pre-orders for both pop-ups, as well as bringing cookies for sale on site.
If you’ve placed a pre-order for one of my pop-ups before, you’re familiar with the fact that my online shop is pretty bare-bones. I haven’t put the time and effort (and money?) into figuring out how to specify where items will be picked up beyond just putting that info in the description for each item.
So here’s how pre-orders will work for the next two pop-ups:
Online preorders are now OPEN for this Saturday’s pop-up at Broadcast. They will close at noon on Friday, Dec 15th. At which time, I will open pre-orders for the Little Thing pop-up.
I’m offering my blog readers the 10% Friends and Family discount again for both pop-ups with code FAMILY10 at checkout.

I am so grateful to everyone who supports me in this crazy cookie endeavor. By coming to pop-ups, placing orders, reading the blog, following me on Instagram and showing up for me in the many other ways you have. It all means so much to me. My bakery dream is coming true.
