Italian Wedding Cookies

The most underrated cookie award goes to these guys. While they might not look as flashy as some of my other varieties, these are, low key, one of my favorites.
My Italian wedding cookies are basically toasted nuts and butter held together with a little flour and sugar. Like the Harlan Pepper of R&D, I tested every nut I could get my hands on when developing this recipe. Pecans won for both flavor and texture. While not traditionally Italian, they are distinctly American.
They’re appropriately named too. Seeing as, if I had to play a round of the classic game, FMK, with my cookies, I would definitely marry these guys. They’re reliably rich and consistent and, despite being coated in powdered sugar, not overly sweet. They’re the cookies I’m always in the mood for.
