About

I’m Lulu, a born and raised Seattleite and local food industry veteran. I married into an Italian American family and have two small children who are built on red sauce and rainbow cookies. Over the years, I took on the role of baker within the family. That role, paired with my nostalgia for the Italian American joints of my Seattle youth, led me to start an in-home bakery. In my way, I aim to bring back the spirit of Seattle’s Garlic Gulch, from Borracchini’s to Oh Boy! Oberto’s.

In 2023 I founded Tremonte’s Italian American. My bakery offers high-quality versions of Italian cookies familiar to those who grew up frequenting Italian American bakeries. If you’re thinking of tough, dried out biscotti, think again! I use only the finest ingredients, and bake everything fresh, in small batches.

Tremonte’s is a licensed WSDA Cottage Food Operation. I know that navigating the governmental system is no small task for many small-scale bakers. So, I hope that I may be able to provide some help or guidance to others interested in getting licensed.

On the personal side, I am a long-time member of the central Seattle community. I graduated from Garfield High School, where I currently serve as a cross-country coach.  My business provides special orders to community members for their events, and I pop up with local hosts such as Broadcast Coffee, Big John’s PFI, and Cafe Lago.  To me, the community forming around Tremonte’s is truly the best part of the business.

Tremonte’s is available for special orders and Seattle-area pop-ups. Find out what I’m up to by following on Instagram and the blog.  And peruse Tremonte’s offerings by checking out the online shop.
