Dropping in with a quick summer update!
June had ENERGY! I’ve been beefing up the pop-up biz and I was as busy as I’ve been since the holidays! I had three pop-up events; the Maker’s Market at Cafe Suliman, Italia Night at Fruit Wine Co., and my Pride weekend pop-up at Broadcast Coffee. Each had their own distinct vibes, fun and positive energy, and were super successful. Thanks to everyone who came out!!

Extra thanks to everyone who purchased my special Pride rainbow cookies in June. I made them as a fundraiser, donating the proceeds to Lambert House. I generated $360 for the cause. It may not be the most gigantic donation of all time, but for a micro-bakery with tiny margins it’s nothing to sneeze at (and it’s a whole lotta rainbow cookies).

So, now I need to fill you in on some happenings coming up soon…
I had an event get canceled this week, leaving me with a freezer full of cookie dough that I would love to bake off and sell. So, the kind folks at Fruit Wine Co. are bailing me out and letting me crash their wine tasting event THIS THURSDAY, July 11th, 5-8pm.
Walls Walla winemaker, Keith Johnson, of Devium Wines will be pouring tastes of their delicious, low-intervention Washington wines and I’ll be slanging cookies alongside.
FYI, for all my parent friends, this event will be held in Fruit Wine Co.’s bottle shop (not the event space I was in last time), which means you are welcome to bring your under-21 companions with you. And the wine tasting is free!! You really CAN have it all, folks.
Here are the moves I recommend this Thursday:
1. Head over to Fruit Wine Co.
2. Taste delicious wine
3. Pick out a bottle to take home 🍷
5. Don’t forget your cookie haul! 🍪
4. Head next door for dinner at Angelo’s – the legit old school red sauce joint right next door to Fruit Wine
5. Go home
6. Crack open that new bottle and a bag of my cookies and enjoy the warm summer night on your porch – it’s only summer once a year!

And, finally, set your DVRs! Ok, I don’t actually know what a DVR is, or how to watch real TV anymore, ha! But I will be making an appearance on New Day Northwest!
I will be doing a short baking demo during the 11 o’clock hour on Monday, July 15th!
I can’t say this is my first TV appearance… but it is my first time knowingly being recorded for television.
Wondering what my TV debut was? Start this video at 7:45 to see yours truly on a hidden camera show, eating donuts from a stranger on national television. You’re welcome.
